create together: spring patterns

as a mom and designer i love to create with my daughter. while finger painting, we created together fun spring patterns with her finger prints.

we had fun creating different variety of spring patterns together. i loved to see her face and excitement when she noticed what i turn her finger paint into.

supplies needed:
• paint
• card stock
• sharpie
• paper towels close by

• stamp finger(s) into paint then onto paper
• let the paint dry
• then use your creativity to turn the finger smudge into a spring character

we turned our spring pattern artwork into easter basket tags for friends and family.

do you have a fun spring craft you like to create with your kids?

happy spring!

this quote is exactly how i feel today. although winter was rather mild this year in my neck of the woods, i have been counting down the days for spring. i love the smell of fresh air, warm sunshine rays, yard work, horse rides, walks with my daughter, and picnics.

what are you excited for this spring?

spring gift guide

sources: nail polish | polka dot pot | fun socks | makeup bag | pretty necklace | pattern napkins | hobnail candle | fitness headband

between spring birthdays, teacher gifts, and mother's day, i am always in a need for fun gifts in the spring. i decided to step it up this year and get more than just a gift card. (that is always my go to gift.) i found all these gifts under $20. if you are in the need of a pretty, spring, girly gift, i hope this inspires you.

do you have something in mind for your next gift? i would love more ideas.

thank you toppers

this year i want to say and give more thank yous. since i like to design my own cards, i thought i would create a thank you that is a little different than the traditional thank you card.

so i decided to design a baggie topper that i can put a treat inside, but also use as a thank you. who doesn't like to receive a treat with a thank you?
supplies needed:
1. thank you printable (download here)
2. yummy treat (mini cadbury eggs work perfect!)
3. baggie (i used a ziploc sandwich baggie)
4. staples or metal brads (use colored ones to add happy touch)

• put whatever you want in your baggie
• fold the printable in half (horizontally) with a scoring tool
• put the baggie top in the middle of the folded printable
• staple or use metal brad on the bottom of the printable to adhere the printable
(make sure to go through the front side of the printable, baggie, and back side of printable)
